Welcome!
I am a clinical social worker with over a decade of post graduate experience. I have significant experience working with a variety of people whose challenges include anxiety, depression, self harm, sexual and physical abuse, sexuality and gender issues, borderline personality disorder, family conflicts, grief, loss, PTSD and life transitions. My passion to help people work through these symptoms has led me to extensive post graduate training, specializing in the treatment of trauma (including EMDR and Somatic Experiencing) and working with LGBTQ individuals.
I have an eclectic worldview, and incorporate this perspective into my work, exploring the inner universe of my clients through many divergent angles. My approach to psychotherapy is relational and holistic. I provide clients with a strong framework from which to delve into their inner world, and secure them with tools and skills for daily living. I apply mindfulness based strategies to my work, as well as recommending yoga, meditation, regular exercise, and good nutrition as part of healing.
I'm playful, creative and philosophical in my presentation, and dedicated to accompanying patients through their unique challenges.
